I graduated from Illinois State University with a Master of Science Degree in Clinical
Psychology in 1984.  I have been licensed in Minnesota since 1989.

My primary focus has been relationship counseling.   After graduate school, I trained for three
years with George Vogner, MSW, mainly in family therapy.  I was initially trained by Dr. John
Gottman in 2002.  In 2005, I received additional training at the Gottman Institute in Seattle,
Washington.  Most recently, I have taken extensive training with Dr. Brent Atkinson of The
Couples Clinic in Geneva, Illinois.   See web page on
Couples Counseling for additional
information.
My goal in providing therapy is to offer a safe and supportive environment to explore the
psychological, spiritual, and emotional areas of your life.  We all want our relationships to
be satisfying and dynamic.  Making that happen without losing sight of our individual
values and goals can be complicated.  I have 25 years of experience working with adults
helping them reach their therapy goals.  We can find ways to reduce your symptoms,
increase your satisfaction with life, or recover from the past.
I appreciate the outdoors and nature.   Being active physically is one aspect of being
mentally healthy.  Taking time out to meditate, pray or just "be in the moment" are
ways to maintain balance in life.
Please call me at 651-470-5174 to discuss the specific concerns you have and to
arrange an appointment.

My practice serves the following communities:  Lowertown Saint Paul, Skyway, Maplewood, Woodbury, Saint
Paul, Oakdale, Roseville,  as well as other Eastern Suburbs of the Twin Cities, Minnesota and Western
Wisconsin.
